Oldham is a visionary business leader and advocate for workforce development, known for her strategic leadership and people-first philosophy. As the head of EDM, a 100% employee-owned contract manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies, she drives the company’s growth through innovation and a commitment to solving complex challenges. Her professional journey spans executive finance and operations roles, including her tenure as Chief Financial Officer at WoodWick/Virginia Gift Brands, where she led the company through a successful acquisition by Newell Brands.
A graduate of the University of Virginia (UVA) and Central Virginia Community College, Oldham is a passionate supporter of education and workforce development. Oldham earned dual degrees in Spanish Literature and Art History from UVA and later enrolled at CVCC to gain additional expertise in accounting and meet the qualifications for the CPA exam—an experience she credits as a critical launchpad for her career advancement. Today, she remains actively involved with the college as a member of the Electronics Technology Advisory Board and a partner in CVCC’s XLR8 and Mechatronics programs, where she provides internships and career opportunities to students. Beyond her professional achievements, Oldham is a dedicated community advocate, volunteering with organizations such as the Lynchburg Humane Society, Junior League of Lynchburg, Miriam’s House, the Academy Center of the Arts, and Vector Space.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and excited to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2025,” said Karen Alexander, CVCC college registrar. “Our graduates have demonstrated talent, perseverance, and a drive to succeed. Whether they are continuing their education, launching a new career, or advancing along their current path, they leave CVCC equipped with the skills and confidence to thrive. We invite the entire community to join us in honoring their success.”
CVCC expects to graduate 1,317 students at its 57th commencement exercise and confer a combined total of 2,115 credentials across associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, career studies certificates, and workforce credentials.
