In the heart of Lynchburg, notable sales illustrate the vibrancy of the city’s housing market. Among the top transactions, a property in the Boxwood Subdivision at Lot 32, section 3 AKA 545 Lady Slipper Ln, sold for $542,900. Sellers were represented by Laura Simms Hengerer with John Stewart Walker, Inc.

Meanwhile, a new dwelling in the Town Center at Wyndhurst on Lot 22, block C, changed hands for $525,000, underscoring continued interest in newer developments. Additionally, a home at 403 Atlanta Avenue fetched $400,000, highlighting a range of options for city buyers. Amherst County saw a strong top sale with a property at 228 Wildwood Acres changing hands for $675,000. Sellers were represented by Christina Holmes with Keller Williams Lynchburg. Additional notable sales include 343 S. Main Street, which sold for $559,000, and a home at 120 Woods Edge Lane for $430,000.
In Campbell County, a standout sale was a commercial property at 1281 Main Street, which commanded $930,000. Residential sales also showed activity with a new dwelling in White Oak Acres selling for $525,445 and a home in Harvey’s Haven closing at $405,000. The mix of commercial and residential transactions suggests Campbell County is attracting a diverse group of investors and homeowners alike.
Appomattox County saw several land and residential sales, including a significant purchase of 2.42 acres at Lot 4, U.S. 460 and Va. 609, which sold for $900,000. Other key sales included a 25-acre parcel on Police Tower Road for $247,500 and a home on Thomas Jefferson Highway for $271,000. These transactions highlight the county’s appeal for buyers interested in rural and spacious properties.
Development continues to advance across the area, with building permits reflecting growth in both residential and community projects. Bedford County saw a notable $1.02 million permit for a new dwelling at 1285 Williams Crossing, along with a $589,139 permit for a new sanctuary at Bedford Christian Church on Moneta Road. Other permits include new homes, additions, and renovations, signaling ongoing investment in housing and infrastructure.
