Bedford County leads the week with four sales topping $500,000
The real estate market across Greater Lynchburg continues to show a mix of residential demand and ongoing development activity. Recent transactions throughout the City of Lynchburg and surrounding counties—including Bedford, Campbell, Amherst, and Appomattox—highlight a range of home values, from high-end properties to more affordable options. All properties fetching a >$500K amount were all from Bedford County in this report. Alongside these sales, building permits reveal continued investment in new construction and property improvements, pointing to overall growth in the region.
In the City of Lynchburg, several higher-priced home sales stood out this period. The top transaction was the sale of 724 Chinook Place for $395,000, followed by Lot 4, Section A, Linkhorne Forest, which sold for $349,900. Another notable sale was Unit 305 in the Cornerstone development, reaching $330,000.

Bedford County recorded some of the highest overall sales in the region, led by the sale of Lot 50, Section 1, Mountain View Shores AKA 213 Redwood Ter, Huddleston, for $1.14 million. The sellers were represented by Sheila Page with MKB, REALTORS - LAKE.

This was followed by Lot 9, Section 1, Ivy Hill AKA 118 Sailview Dr in Huddleston at $785,000 and 302 Longhill Road, which sold for $725,000. These higher-end sales suggest continued interest in larger properties and homes with scenic or waterfront features, which Bedford County offers. Ivy Hill sellers were represented by Jeremy Phillips with Berkshire Hathaway Homes Services Dawson Ford Garbee & Co., Realtors 302 Longhill Road sellers were represented by Wendy Reddy with Reddy Real Estate.
