This Week's Real Estate Transaction Report
Real estate transactions across the greater Lynchburg region showed a wide range of activity recently, primarily with mid-priced residential sales occurring in both the city and adjacent counties.
In the city of Lynchburg, the highest recorded sales were a commercial property at 2919 Confederate Ave., which sold for $750,000 from Mumper Properties & Investments LLC to HGR Holding LLC.

Another major sale occurred at Lot 22, Holly Farms Subdivision, where Eric T. Hoover sold the home to Monya Lyn Cotton and Patrick Augustin Simon for $488,083. A third significant transaction was Lot 10, Section A, Bedford Hills, which sold for $375,000 from Reid Wodicka to Nora C. Kluender. Other notable activity included homes in Heritage at Wyndhurst and Rivermont.

Bedford County saw the region’s highest individual residential transaction with the sale of 1129 Hannabass Drive for $962,500. Christopher M. and Jacqueline R. Scofield and Paul and Caitlin Jennifer Limone sold the property to John H. Easton Jr. and Dawn Eaton. Sellers were represented by 1129 Hannabass Dr, Goodview Seller represented by DOUG MURRAY with MURRAY REALTY, INC.


Another strong sale occurred at Lot 3, Section 2, Someridge, which sold for $465,000 from Samuel W. Staples Jr. and Nicole F. Staples, trustees, to David and Judith G. Cropco. The property at 111 Mullbury Placealso ranked among the highest transactions, selling for $449,900 from David and Judith G. Cropco to Lisa and Eric Eldon Percival.

Building permit activity across the region also reflected continued development. The largest permit issued was a $500,000 commercial alteration for Third Horizons LLC at 1037 Main St. New residential construction remained strong as well, including a $400,000 new dwelling at 1045 Poor House Road for Gerald Jacobs and a $350,000 new home at Lot 7, Leesville Road for Trail River Ranch LLC. Additional projects included a $340,000 new home by Ironstone Builders LLC at Lot 56, Bethany Road, a $320,000 new dwelling on Armistead Lane, and several other residential and improvement projects ranging from additions and remodels to solar installations and accessory buildings, indicating steady growth and continued investment across the greater Lynchburg area.
