Lynchburg Real Estate Sales Led by $2.37 Million Transaction

Lynchburg recorded 34 qualifying real estate transactions from Aug. 17 through Aug. 20, with sales ranging from $2.37 million to $800. The week's activity was led by several high-value transactions, including six sales of $435,000 or more.

The highest-priced sale was 100 Atlanta Ave., which sold for $2.37 million to Shelton & Hailey Holding Co. LLC from National Retail Properties LP. Hailey’s Appliance moved into the 20,000-square-foot former Badcock location in mid-2025, opening one of the largest appliance showrooms in Virginia. The property, located just off Wards Road behind Sam’s Club and Barnes & Noble, has now been purchased by Shelton & Hailey Holding Co. LLC.

The second-highest transaction was 103 Waterton Dr. at $650,000, purchased by Bell, James S & Cynthia Bridges from Pelletier, Ronald & Katherine. Seller was represented by Zach Willis with Keller Williams.

1215 Jefferson St. 3E followed at $620,000, with Gezen, Firat (TR) purchasing from Thomas G Maxwell Revocable Trust. Sellers were represented by Kate Blickenstaff Poats with Blickenstaff & Company Realtors.

Other notable sales included 1007 Court St. for $551,000, purchased by Anderson, Ronald James & from Lietzau, William K & Diane M; 615 Rotunda St. for $435,000, purchased by TrombI, Nicholas & Marnie from Bobe, Wilfredo & Maureen T; and 3031 Sedgewick Dr. for $435,000, purchased by Winnegrad, Sam & Sarah from Burns, Wiilliam A TRS & Burns, Joann V TRS.

The remainder of the week's activity included a number of sales in the $300,000 range, including 3228 Azalea Pl. at $387,000, 14 Riverview Pl. at $380,000, 817 Pershing Ave. at $369,900, and 203 Maple Hills Dr. and 416 Belvedere St., both at $335,000. Several additional properties sold between $200,000 and $330,000, while the reporting period also included lower-priced transactions, including 2412 Marsh St. at $131,250, 1901 Gatlin St. at $7,000, and 2005 Lovell St. at $800.
