Holiday variety show at the Music Hall will feature original comedy sketches, live music and old-fashioned radio-style entertainment.
LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Main Street Christmas Revue will bring an afternoon of family-friendly comedy, live music and holiday entertainment to the Music Hall in downtown Lynchburg on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m.
Produced by Lynchburg-based creator and host Jacob Johnston, the Christmas Revue is a holiday edition of the Main Street Music Show, a comedy and variety program inspired by classic radio shows.
The performance will feature original comedy sketches, live music from the WhiteOak Ramblers and appearances by members of the Main Street Music Show cast.
“We wanted to create something that feels a little different from the typical Christmas show,” Johnston said. “It has the feel of an old-fashioned radio variety program, but it's completely original and built for a live Lynchburg audience. There's comedy, there's great music, and hopefully a lot of laughs for the whole family.”
The Main Street Music Show began as an audio comedy and variety program before expanding into live performances featuring original sketches, music and recurring characters.
