From Pharmacist to Founder: How a Lynchburg Local Is Reinventing Baking with Pour Baker
“All you have is all you need.” That’s the slogan behind Pour Baker, Lynchburg’s newest convenient stop for gourmet baking needs.
Founded by local pharmacist Cammy Jones, Pour Baker is a baking mix brand designed to make baking simple. Customers only need to add milk or water to the mix, shake, pour to create homemade baked goods.

Pour Baker began as an idea centered on innovation and accessibility, with Jones envisioning a brand that would make baking easier while encouraging customers to feel creative and confident in the kitchen. Jones’ goal was to provide a simple, homemade solution for people who love the idea of baking but may find traditional recipes intimidating or time-consuming.
The company’s product line features a variety of mixes, including buttermilk pancake and waffle mix, cornbread mix, cranberry muffin mix, brownie mix, chocolate chip muffin mix, and banana walnut mix. According to Jones, the three most popular products are the buttermilk pancake mix, fudge brownie mix, and cornbread mix.

She describes Pour Baker as the first “shake-and-pour” baking mix line of its kind.
“It was inspired by my love for baking, and my desire for people to experience it,” Jones said. “It can be a simpler process, but you’re not sacrificing quality or the feeling of something homemade.”

The brand’s mission is built on three core values aimed at enhancing the customer experience: supporting customers’ sweetest moments, making gourmet baking easy even for those who have never baked before, and refusing to compromise on ingredients or flavor.
Pour Baker produces its mixes at a kitchen facility in Roanoke. The brand has become a favorite among shoppers at the Lynchburg Community Market and is looking to expand its presence to additional farmers markets in the region, including locations in Charlottesville and Roanoke.

Looking ahead, Jones hopes to open a physical storefront in Lynchburg that would make Pour Baker products available to the community year-round. While farmers’ markets have been a blessing for the business, Jones noted that they come with limitations, including being able to sell products for only a few hours on a single day each week.

A retail location, she said, would allow more customers to enjoy simple and affordable baking products daily. In the long term, Cammy also hopes to see Pour Baker mixes carried in major grocery chains such as Food Lion, Walmart, and Kroger.
Her vision is for Pour Baker products to reach kitchens beyond Lynchburg and Central Virginia. “I would love to see Pour Baker become a staple in every single pantry across the world,” Jones said.
Cammy also reflects on how her career as a grocery store pharmacist has shaped her approach to business. Working closely with members of the community through her pharmaceutical work has strengthened her passion for helping others.

That same mindset carries over into Pour Baker, where she aims to provide convenient access to clean, authentic baking ingredients at an affordable price—while inspiring customers to begin their own baking journeys.
The brand is also expected to appear at events across Virginia, including the Pour with Purpose Women’s Conference, which will take place April 25, 2026, in Newport News.
