Greater Lynchburg Real Estate Transfers

The Greater Lynchburg area continued to show a steady pace in home sales, with a mix of high-value residential properties and smaller transactions shaping the market across the region. Buyers and investors showed particular interest in both modern developments and established neighborhoods, while new construction permits pointed to ongoing growth throughout Bedford County.

In the City of Lynchburg, the top transaction was the $5 million sale of 2249 Murrell Road, where JFC Lynchburg DST transferred ownership to The Elms of Lynchburg LLC.

Following that, Lot 33 in Bethel Estates sold for $755,000 from Michael P. and Michelle W. Richardson to Jonathan S. Eckman and Lauren B. Murphy. Sellers were represented by Michelle Wingo Stebbings with Century 21 All-Service.

Another notable sale included 1043 Ashland Place, where Daniel Potter sold to Susan Hammack for $368,000.

In Bedford County, several large properties changed hands. The highest sale was 1597 Clearview Road, sold by Edward J. Friar Builder, Inc. to Michael B. and Carolyn G. McNeely for $479,000. Close behind, Lot 34 in Beechwood Westsold for $425,000 from Twisted J Properties LLC to Angela Johnson. Rounding out the top sales, Kevin P. and Valerie G. Rogers sold Lot 11 in The Meadows for $370,000 to Agatha L. Rule. Bedford’s market continues to balance new construction with strong resale activity.

Campbell County saw its most expensive transaction at 1571 Browns Mill Road, where Nancy H. Toler sold to Living Oaks LLC for $600,000. Following that, 1327 Greenhouse Road sold for $418,000 from H&S Holdings Properties to Thomas Wayne and Kelly Brooke Mason. Rounding out the top tier, 423 Poplar Forest Drive changed hands for $385,000.

In Appomattox County, the standout sale was 7169 Richmond Highway, where Catsara Enterprises LLC sold to Chief Investments LLC for $1.33 million.

Also notable were Parcel, Wildway Road, which sold for $289,000, and 689 Cub Creek Road, which sold for $197,500—both indicating demand for land and residential properties.

Bedford County’s building permits revealed continued growth, led by Kitsmont LLC’s $1.4 million new dwelling on High Oaks Drive and Robert Wells II’s $650,000 home in Fairview Meadows. Multiple Premier Construction LLC projects, each valued at $439,000, and Alexcia Revell Lenis’s $550,000 new dwelling new development, keeping Bedford at the forefront of regional construction activity.
