Get money off your adoption fee by bringing a canned donation for the Lynchburg Daily Bread!

(November 13, 2025)— Lynchburg Humane Society is holding their annual maker vendor festival, “FALL FEST,” event this Saturday, November 15th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and during their open hours that day, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., they’re also celebrating with an adoption special. During the “Food Drive Adoption Special,” all pets (excluding VIPs) will have their adoption fees reduced to $50, with the opportunity to lower ANY adoption fee even more by bringing a canned human food item (or three!) to donate to the Lynchburg Daily Bread. For every canned food item adopters bring, they will receive an extra $10 off any adoption fee, including those for VIPs, up to $30 off.

“Fall Fest is one of our most exciting and joyful events of the year,” said Development and Communications Manager Claire LeFew. “With the addition of the Food Drive Adoption Special, we wanted to encourage our generous community not only to adopt a homeless pet, but also to help feed their neighbors while doing it by donating canned food to the Lynchburg Daily Bread.”

The Lynchburg Humane Society encourages anyone interested in adopting a pet to visit the Center for Pets on Old Graves Mill Road on Saturday for the special. Adoptable pets can be viewed on their website www.lynchburghumane.org, under the “ADOPT” tab.
