In the City of Lynchburg, the top sales showed buyers chasing space and newer neighborhoods. The biggest tickets were Lots 1 and 2, Wiggington Manor, which sold to Rebekah and Nathan Taylor for $677,500. Sellers were represented by Teresa Grant with Keller Williams Lynchburg.
Close behind was 515 Lady Slipper Lane, a $539,900 sale to Andrew and Jessica Glass, where the sellers were represented by Josh Redmond with Mark A. Dalton & Co.,
and Lot 2, Overlink Estates, which changed hands for $475,000.
Amherst County saw one of the area’s largest transactions: 1314 Elon Road sold for $735,000 to Benjamin and Brianne Sullenger, a standout purchase. Sullenger were represented by Adam Hopkins with Hopkins Real Estate Group.
A big tract sale also moved — Parcel, Va. 662 and U.S. 29, 12.403 acres — which sold for $550,000, showing ongoing interest in larger parcels for development or private estates. Rounding out the top deals was Lot 11, Fox Hall Estates at $344,900.
Over in Appomattox County buyers paid for acreage and finished homes. The biggest was Parcel, fronting Va. 626 and Va. 617, 98.55 acres at $499,900, a major land purchase. Lot 2, Beth Drew Acres fetched $400,000, and 295 Charles Drive sold for $290,000.
Bedford County’s headline sales skewed higher in price. Lot 21, Section 6, Farmington at Forest led the county at $723,000, with the sellers being represented by Chase Vaden with Key to Your Heart Realty,
followed by Lot 16, Sungale Meadows for $570,000 and 220 Swan Lane at $524,900.
Campbell County’s top transactions included 126 Arrowhead Drive at $370,000 and 2439 English Tavern Road at $360,000, with Lot 2, Section 1, Trail River Estates close behind at $347,900.
Permits tell another part of the story: big projects are coming. A community clubhouse at 27 Faith Court topped permits at $1 million, while a major new dwelling at 2701 Pigeon Run Road was permitted for $721,540. Several other high-value permits — including new dwellings on Dearborn Road and Pebble Road in the $500k range.
