Real Numbers from Greater Lynchburg’s Real Estate Market

Greater Lynchburg’s real estate landscape has experienced choppy activity over the past several months, reflecting both buyer and prospective seller interest across the city and surrounding counties. From high-value residential sales to building permits signaling new construction, the market reveals a mix of established home sales, strategic investments, and growth trends.

In the City of Lynchburg, several noteworthy sales anchored the range of transactions. Leading the pack was the sale of Lots 26–28 in Town Center at Wyndhurst for $1.4 million, bought by JSP, LLC from Patrick Henry Family Services, underscoring sustained interest in prime commercial locations.

Following close behind was the $700,000 sale of 113 Oakwood Place from Joseph Alex Warren to Justin and Sara Hall. Warren was represented by Jane Blickenstaff with Blickenstaff & Company Realtors.

Also closed was a $620,000 commercial move at 4897 Fort Ave., where Hi-Tech Automotive of Lynchburg LLC sold to Diamond Star Properties LLC. The city also saw solid mid-range residential activity, including the sale of Lot 23A at Fort Hill Terrace for $350,000, and a series of College Square at Wards Ferry properties changing hands in the low-$250,000s. Most modest transactions, such as two Graham Street properties sold for $10,000.

A sizeable 13.4-acre tract on Forest Avenue also topped the mid-range at $350,000. Smaller neighborhood sales like Lot 10 in Honeysuckle Hills rounded out the county’s mix.
