Greater Lynchburg Real Estate Transactions

Real estate activity in the Greater Lynchburg region shows a range of transactions across the city and surrounding counties, with notable sales reflecting diverse market values.

In the City of Lynchburg, the highest sale was at Lot 1, block 3, Peakland, AKA 3833 Peakland Pl where Everette L. Daniel Jr. and Margaret D. Daniel, trustees, sold to Ferrell T. Nexsen for $750,000. Sellers were represented by Jane Blickenstaff of Blickenstaff & Company Realtors.

Other significant transactions include a $637,500 sale in Amaya’s Way Subdivision at 100 Amaya Dr and a $535,000 sale covering lots in Woodside and Brooklet Farm. Sales in the city also reflect a mix of condominium and single-family properties, with prices generally ranging from $100,000 to $750,000. Sellers at Amaya Dr were represented by Chris Johnson of Long & Foster.

Amherst County saw its top sale at 243 S. Main St., where Carl and Monica Jackson sold to Kenneth Richard Cramer III for $374,900. Other important sales included a $285,000 property at Kentmoor Farm Road and a $257,500 parcel on Va. 673. Compared to the city, Amherst County’s transactions are mostly single-family homes and parcels with moderate price points under $400,000.

In Appomattox County, the highest transaction was a $695,000 sale of a property on 1433 Piney Mountain Road. Other notable sales included properties around $300,000 to $365,000. This suggests steady activity with mid-range residential properties leading the market.

Bedford County led with several high-value sales. The top transaction was at 105 Shorewood Terrace, selling for $1,075,000. This was followed by a $975,000 sale in Gross Point located at 110 Gross Point Dr in Huddleston and a $950,000 sale at Busch Ridge. Gross Point Dr sellers were represented by Marcie Dawson with Elite Realty. The county shows a strong market for larger homes and subdivisions, with many properties exceeding $400,000 in value.

Lot 9, Summit Crossing AKA 1025 Five Forks Rd in Bedford was sold by Joseph R. and Karen Johnson to Michael D. Buser and Dawn A. Gardner. for $854,900. Sellers were represented by Mason Kiffmeyer with LPT Realty, Inc.

Bedford county shows a strong market for larger homes and subdivisions, with many properties exceeding $400,000 in value.
