The free, family-friendly event at Lynchburg Community Market will feature craft beer, books, food trucks, artisan vendors and activities for all ages.
The Downtown Lynchburg Association and Lynchburg Public Library will host the annual Books & Brews event Sunday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Lynchburg Community Market, 1219 Main St.
The free event combines books, local craft beer, food trucks, artisan vendors and family-friendly activities in an afternoon celebrating downtown businesses and the community.
The Lynchburg Public Library will offer activities at its Downtown Branch and Bookmobile, including a community book swap, book and beer pairings selected by library staff, literary trivia, yard games and activities for children.
Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
“Books & Brews is a wonderful opportunity to bring people together around a shared love of books, local businesses and community,” said Reagan Hunley of the Downtown Lynchburg Association. “We’re excited to welcome residents and visitors downtown to support small businesses and enjoy everything this unique event has to offer.”
The event also provides an opportunity to support downtown merchants, independent makers and local organizations.
Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.
