Sargent and Crosier Claim Senior Titles
Manhattan College All-MAAC golfer Cabell Faulkner overcame three consecutive bogeys with four back-nine birdies Sunday to win the Fox Puss Invitational open division at Boonsboro Country Club.
Faulkner closed with a 1-under-par 70 to edge runner-up Dylan Olinger, the University of Lynchburg sophomore who entered the final round with the lead. Lynchburg’s Luke Libbey finished alone in third after shooting a 1-over 72, ending the tournament three shots back.

Senior Division
UVA Men’s Golf Coach Bowen Sargent held off Donnie Toney by one shot to win the Senior Division. Sargent closed with a 3-over 74, while Toney made a strong push with a final-round 73.
Toney and Kendra Toney are the club owners and general managers of Colonial Hills Golf Club in Forest.
Paul Powell of Salem, Va., was 5-under on the day before a triple-bogey 6 on No. 17 derailed his chance to post what could have been a winning score. Powell birdied five of six holes on the back nine before the setback and finished tied for third with Robert Mason.
Boonsboro member John Jordan shot 76 and tied for fifth with Scott Richards.

Super Senior Division
Jeff Crosier maintained his two-shot second-round lead to win the Super Senior Division, closing with a 3-over 74.
Jack Allara finished alone in second after matching Crosier’s final-round 74. Allara was the Virginia State Golf Association’s 2021 Super Senior Golfer of the Year.
Crosier was 5-over on the day before making eagle on No. 12. He played holes 12 and 13 at 4-under for the weekend.
