Monday snapshot shows increases locally and across Virginia markets after last week’s dip
Gas prices across Greater Lynchburg moved higher this week, with the City of Lynchburg checking in at $3.69 per gallon, up from last week’s low of $3.41. That earlier low reflected a membership-based retailer, while this week’s pricing shows a more consistent range across available stations.
Surrounding areas also saw increases, with Amherst matching Lynchburg at $3.69, Bedford at $3.76, and Appomattox at $3.81. Rustburg posted the highest local price in this snapshot at $3.97.
Across Virginia, Lynchburg now sits more in the middle of the pack. Alexandria remains the highest among peer markets at $3.96, while Richmond ($3.67), Roanoke $3.64, and Virginia Beach $3.66 are all within a narrow range. Charlottesville continues to be one of the lower-priced markets at $3.48, with Danville at $3.61.
