Survey open through May 3 as community reaction grows over Dani Rule’s exit
Lynchburg City Schools is asking for community input as it begins the search for the next principal at E.C. Glass High School — a process that comes amid lingering questions about the departure of current principal Dani Rule.
Rule, a 20-year veteran of the division, announced he will step down at the end of the school year. His exit has sparked a strong reaction from students, parents, and community members, many of whom have expressed support for his leadership and concern about the lack of clarity surrounding the decision. Reports indicate petitions and calls for transparency have followed the announcement.
As the division moves forward, LCS is inviting students, families, staff, and community members to share what qualities and priorities they want to see in the next leader of E.C. Glass. The feedback will help guide the selection process.
The survey is open through Sunday, May 3.
