Lynchburg City Schools is seeking parents and guardians to serve on the Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Committee for the 2026-27 school year.
The newly updated committee is designed to give families a greater voice in the school division’s strategic and operational planning while strengthening communication between parents and LCS leadership.
The committee will include parent representatives from each LCS school. Members will gather feedback from families in their school communities, identify opportunities for improvement, discuss concerns and work with division leaders on potential solutions aimed at improving student outcomes.
LCS is seeking one primary representative and one alternate representative from each school.
Representatives will be expected to attend three in-person committee meetings during the school year and regularly gather input from other families at their schools. LCS said members should be prepared to participate consistently and take a collaborative approach to discussions involving school and division issues.
Parents and guardians interested in serving can apply through the LCS online application form. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
