The Greater Lynchburg real estate market showed steady activity across the City of Lynchburg and surrounding counties, with high-dollar transactions underscoring continued demand for residential property in both urban neighborhoods and more rural settings. From million-dollar lake front homes to investment-driven sales, Greater Lynchburg reflected a balanced mix of growth, development, and turnover.

In the City of Lynchburg, some of the area’s most notable transactions took place in established neighborhoods and newer developments. The highest-priced sale was at 316 Melinda Drive, which sold for $415,000. Close behind was a $395,000 transaction at Lot 7, Section 1, The Bluffs at Riverside. Another sale occurred at 515 Capstone Drive, which changed hands for $389,900.

Amherst County saw its top sale at Lot 3, Little Farm at Turkey Mountain, which sold for $385,000, standing out as the county’s highest-priced transaction. A home at 333 N. Main St. followed at $310,000, while Parcel A on Waugh’s Ferry Road sold for just over $242,000.

 In Appomattox County, the highest transaction by a wide margin involved two parcels on Bowler Creek Road and Rocks Church Road, selling for $925,000. Sellers were represented by Thomas Nolen with Nolen Real Estate. This was followed by a $300,000 sale at 465 Soybean Drive and a $205,000 transaction at 301 Log Cabin Road.

Bedford County recorded the region’s highest overall home sale, with a property at Lot 168, Section B, Beechwood West selling for $1.34 million. Other notable transactions included a $549,900 sale at Lot 9, Section 3, Hooper Woods with sellers being represented by Matthew Gene Durand with Mark A. Dalton and Company Inc.

Campbell County’s top sale occurred at Lot 1, Sunny Bank Acres, which sold for $505,000. This was followed by a $429,900 transaction at Lot 2, Thistle Creek Subdivision and a $349,900 sale at Lot 10, Long Mountain Farm Subdivision, showing strong demand across both new subdivisions and established communities.

Building permits also reflected ongoing investment throughout the region. The largest permit was issued for a $1 million new dwelling at 127 Tradewind Terrace, followed by a $920,000 new home on Terrapin Mountain Lane and a $600,000 new dwelling on Trent's Ferry Road. Several other permits for new construction, additions, docks, and renovations point to continued confidence in the Greater Lynchburg housing market moving forward.
