High-Dollar Sales Highlight Active Market Across Greater Lynchburg
The Greater Lynchburg real estate market showed moderate activity recently, with six high-value home sales (>$500K), mostly from the City of Lynchburg. Building permits in Campbell County, also point to growth through new construction, renovations, and commercial development.
In the City of Lynchburg, the most expensive transaction was the sale of the former Miller Home for Girls located 2134 Westerly Drive, which transferred for $1.35 million. Donovan Martin represented the sellers. Miller Home also ended up on the buyers sided of the ledger at 271 Riverside Dr.

Close behind Westerly Dr. was a Peakland property, Lot 3, Block 2, Plan A aka 3809 Peakland Place, which sold for $1.15 million. Kate Blickenstaff Poats with Blickenstaff & Company Realtors represented the seller.

Another standout was 218 Woodland Ave., which changed hands for $785,000 with the seller represented by Kensie Walker Johnson with John Stewart Walker, Inc.

Additional high-value activity included 1209 Taylor St. at $625,000 and 271 Riverside Drive at $519,000, reflecting strength across both residential and investment properties. Seller on Riverside Drive was represented by Martin Donovan.
