LCA Edges Glass at Winton Farm; Guanzon Takes Medalist Honors

Liberty Christian uses four counting scores of 39 or better to win by three shots, while E.C. Glass' Nikko Guanzon leads the field with a 1-over 36

Liberty Christian used a balanced scoring effort Wednesday to edge E.C. Glass by three shots in a four-team match at Winton Farm.

The Bulldogs posted a four-player score of 151, with all four counting scores between 37 and 39. E.C. Glass finished second at 154, followed by Amherst County at 178 and Rustburg at 185.

E.C. Glass' Nikko Guanzon earned medalist honors with a 1-over-par 36 on the par-35 layout. Preston Laughon gave the Hilltoppers another strong round with a 37.

LCA countered with depth. Baylor Ritter and Ripkin Colling each shot 37, Matthew Stephens followed with a 38 and Joey Laslie's 39 completed the Bulldogs' four-player total.

Amherst County was led by Caitlyn Baxter with a 39, while C.J. Jones paced Rustburg with a 42.
