Liberty Football Announces Aug. 22 Meet the Team Event Ahead of 2026 Season

Free event will give Flames fans behind-the-scenes access to facilities, players, and coaches before season opener

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Liberty Football will wrap up its August training camp schedule with a Meet the Team event on Saturday, Aug. 22, giving Flames fans an opportunity to connect with players, coaches, and the program before the 2026 season begins.

The free event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Liberty Indoor Practice Facility (IPF). Doors to Williams Stadium and the IPF will open at 1 p.m.

The event is designed as a celebration for Flames Nation and will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the facilities and preparation that go into a Liberty football season.

Before the event begins, fans can enjoy Liberty Athletics game day inflatables inside the IPF, along with food from local vendors and food trucks. A highlight of the pre-event schedule will be a tour of Liberty’s football facilities, offering fans access to areas normally reserved for players, coaches, and staff.

The tour will begin at Williams Stadium Gate 1 and include stops throughout the stadium, including:

• Williams Stadium cabanas
• Carter Tower, including the Training Table area where players receive meals throughout the season
• Club Level areas and Flames Club suites
• The AD Suite
• Liberty Football coaches booth
• ESPN and CBS Sports Network broadcast booths
• The 71 Club

Fans will then continue to the Liberty Football Center, the program’s headquarters, with stops including the football weight room, the Media Room where Head Coach Jamey Chadwell conducts postgame press conferences, and the Flames locker room.

Following the facility tour, the Meet the Team event will move inside the Liberty Indoor Practice Facility.

The event will feature appearances from Liberty Director of Athletics Ian McCaw and Head Football Coach Jamey Chadwell, along with a talent show featuring Liberty football players. Younger Flames fans will also have an opportunity to compete against players during a series of “Minute to Win It” games.

The event will conclude with an autograph session, allowing fans to meet players, have schedule posters signed, and take photos with their favorite Flames.

2026 Liberty Football Tickets Available

Season tickets for the 2026 Liberty Football season are currently on sale. Season tickets remain the most affordable way for fans to attend games at Williams Stadium, with options starting at $90.
