LYNCHBURG, Va. — Gasoline prices across Greater Lynchburg were mostly stable or slightly lower this week, with the City of Lynchburg holding steady while three surrounding localities posted modest declines.
According to a Monday afternoon snapshot from GasBuddy, the City of Lynchburg remained at $3.29 per gallon for regular gasoline, unchanged from last week. Appomattox recorded the largest local decline, falling four cents to $3.39 per gallon, while Bedford dropped seven cents to $3.35. Amherst remained unchanged at $3.59, and Rustburg increased slightly by two cents to $3.49.
Across Virginia, gasoline prices were generally lower than a week ago. Alexandria continued to post the highest average among the markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda at $3.69 per gallon, down six cents from last week. Charlottesville held steady at $3.49, while Richmond slipped to $3.28, Danville rose slightly to $3.29, Roanoke remained unchanged at $3.34, and Virginia Beach eased to $3.38.
Despite mixed movement throughout the region, Lynchburg continues to rank among Virginia's lowest-priced markets for regular gasoline, with its average remaining below every market surveyed except Danville.
