“Thank a Veteran…VOTE!” initiative encourages eligible residents to participate in November elections
LYNCHBURG, Va. — The City of Lynchburg Office of the General Registrar and Lynchburg Area Veterans Council are partnering on a new campaign encouraging residents to vote in the upcoming November General and Special Elections.
The “Thank a Veteran…VOTE!” campaign connects voter participation with recognition of veterans who have served in the U.S. military and defended Americans' rights and freedoms.
Members of the Lynchburg Area Veterans Council will help promote the campaign throughout the community and encourage eligible voters to participate in the November elections.
The Registrar’s Office said Lynchburg voters have several options for casting a ballot, including early voting, voting by mail and voting at their polling place on Election Day.
Voters are encouraged to check their registration information ahead of the election, become familiar with the voting process and make a plan for casting their ballot.
Information about voter registration, early and absentee voting, polling places and other election questions is available from the City of Lynchburg Office of the General Registrar, 825 Kemper St. The office can also be reached at 434-477-5999 or registrar@lynchburgva.gov.
