Lynchburg remains at $3.73 per gallon, while Charlottesville drops 12 cents and prices decline in most markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Gasoline prices were largely stable across Greater Lynchburg this week, while most of the other Virginia markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda posted declines.
According to a Monday afternoon snapshot from GasBuddy, the City of Lynchburg averaged $3.73 per gallon for regular gasoline, unchanged from last week.
Elsewhere in the Lynchburg area, Amherst remained unchanged at $3.89 per gallon, while Appomattox declined three cents to $3.79 and Bedford fell three cents to $3.63. Rustburg was also unchanged at $3.77.
Prices generally moved lower among the other Virginia markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda. Charlottesville recorded the week's largest decline, falling 12 cents to $3.67 per gallon. Alexandria dropped seven cents to $3.79, while Roanoke declined five cents to $3.54.
Danville was the exception, increasing five cents to $3.53 per gallon. Richmond remained unchanged at $3.57, while Virginia Beach slipped one cent to $3.64.
Amherst remained the highest-priced Greater Lynchburg market at $3.89 per gallon, while Bedford had the area's lowest average at $3.63. Lynchburg's $3.73 average was unchanged after climbing 21 cents the previous week.
Among all markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda, Amherst had the highest average at $3.89 per gallon, followed by Alexandria and Appomattox at $3.79. Danville had the lowest average at $3.53.
