The Greater Lynchburg real estate market saw a wide range of activity across the City of Lynchburg and the surrounding counties, with residential sales and continued investment in new construction and improvements. From a million-dollar home in Bedford County to mid-range sales in Campbell and Amherst, the region reflects buyers and investors remain active.
In the City of Lynchburg, the highest-priced sale was in Heritage Hills, where Lot 1, Section 1 sold for $349,900. Close behind was Lot 8, Section 5 in New Towne at $319,900, followed by Lot 13, Section 4 in Richland Hills at $311,885. Other notable transactions included 5904 Rhonda Road at $305,000 and a home in Linkhorne Forest that sold for $287,500. The mix of established neighborhoods and newer developments continues to attract buyers at a variety of price points within the city.

Bedford County recorded the region’s highest sale overall, with New Lot 16, Phase 1 in Brookstone Estates AKA 1037 Deer Hollow Rd selling for $1.06 million. The seller was represented by Teresa Grant with Keller Williams Lynchburg.

Additional top sales included a $511,000 home located at 114 Barrington Ct, Hardy AKA Lot 6, section 3, Barrington Hills and 9732 Goodview Road, which sold for $480,000. Barrington Hills seller was represented by Michael Scott Gusler with Keller Williams Roanoke. A $430,000 transaction in Mountain Breeze Estates and a $425,000 sale in Whitcomb Woods further demonstrate the county’s strength in higher-end residential properties, particularly in lake-area and larger-lot communities.

Homes in Rainbow Forest and Sunset Hills both sold in the mid-$200,000 range, reflecting demand for suburban neighborhoods with accessible price points.

Building permit activity in Campbell County also reflected continued growth. The largest permit was issued for a new dwelling on Armistead Lane valued at $370,000. Three additional new homes on Levin Lane were each valued at $189,000. Commercial and renovation projects included a $120,000 commercial renovation on Wards Road and multiple residential improvements such as decks, additions, and solar panel installations. Together, these transactions and permits highlight a steadily developing Greater Lynchburg market.
