Located inside the Bella Vista Hotel on Candlers Mountain Road, Tori Blue feels like one of those places you almost stumble upon by accident—and then immediately wonder how you didn’t know about it sooner.

Four friends and I chose it for a girls’ night out, and from the moment we walked in, it was clear this wasn’t the Grand Room we remembered. The space has undergone a complete transformation and looks nothing like its former self.

The new vibe is summery and Mediterranean, with crisp blues and whites, thoughtful interior design, and an overall upscale, chic feel. It manages to be elegant without feeling stuffy. The restaurant was not overly busy when we visited, which added to the cozy atmosphere. One of the most surprising (and delightful) features is an indoor firepit area where guests can sit—an unexpected touch that makes the space feel warm and inviting.

Service was excellent from start to finish attentive without hovering, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.
We all ordered drinks, I got a French 75 and so did a few other girls and one other got an Aperol Spritz. We loved them all.

We kicked things off with an order of calamari for the table, and it turned out to be the perfect appetizer to share. The portion was generous, ideal for a group, and the calamari itself was cooked beautifully—tender, flavorful, and clearly done with care.

For my entrée, I ordered the honey-spiced salmon, which came with a fresh salad. I opted for the Brussels sprouts on the side, and they were a standout for me—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly something I’d go back for on their own. The salmon itself was delicious and well-prepared, striking that balance between sweet and savory.

Two friends decided to split the Tuscan chicken pasta, featuring grilled chicken over Alfredo pasta with sautéed spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and a citrus butter sauce. They both loved it and said it was rich, comforting, and full of flavor without being overwhelming.

Another friend ordered the pesto chicken and shrimp primavera, which came with chicken and shrimp over penne pasta, tossed with vegetables, Parmesan cheese, and basil pesto. It looked colorful and fresh, and she was happy with her choice.

The final entrée at our table was the pan-seared filet, served with asparagus, Boursin cheese, and bacon. This is a dish I have had in the past, and it is just as delicious as I remember, rich, indulgent, and cooked right.

The girls ordered a crème brûlée cheesecake and tiramisu to finish, and they loved it. I was full so I didn't try any, but I trust their judgment!

By the end of the night, we all agreed: Tori Blue is a little hidden gem. Between the beautiful remodel, cozy yet upscale atmosphere, great service, and consistently good food, it made for a wonderful girls’ night out. It is absolutely a place we will be returning to—and one worth seeking out if you haven’t discovered it yet.
