Here's Your Answer
The City of Lynchburg’s Public Works Department will conduct its annual Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling event on Saturday, April 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Concord Turnpike Convenience Center, 2525 Concord Turnpike.
This free City service, now available once each year, is open to Lynchburg and Campbell County residents only and serves as an opportunity for citizens to properly dispose of material that should not be thrown in the trash, taken to the landfill, or poured down the drain. These items include, but aren’t limited to, household cleaners, paint, old batteries, and electronics such as TVs, computers, laptops, etc.
To participate, residents should complete the Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Verification Form located at www.lynchburgva.gov/hhw, print a copy and bring it with them.
Residents are asked to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Residents must present a valid photo ID.
- Place small items in non-returnable containers and place in the rear most compartment of your vehicle – no trailers.
For more information and a list of acceptable and non-acceptable items, visit www.lynchburgva.gov/hhw or call the Citizens First Information Center at 856-CITY (2489).
