Week in Review: October 12–18, 2026

Business aviation at Lynchburg Regional Airport featured locally based corporate jets, visiting business aircraft, fractional-ownership flights and a Gulfstream V operating between Lynchburg and Joint Base Andrews during the past week.

Among the highlights were a Dassault Falcon 50 registered in Forest, Virginia, that made several flights through Lynchburg; a NetJets Citation Latitude arriving from Hilton Head Island; and an Embraer Phenom 300 that stopped in Lynchburg between Austin, Texas, and the Boston area.

Citation-family aircraft remained prominent. Locally based Citation Excel N936EA made repeated flights between Lynchburg and Charlotte, while Citation II aircraft N49U and N704DA connected Lynchburg with destinations in Virginia and the Carolinas. CitationJet N469RB also flew to Richmond and returned from Philadelphia.

NetJets Phenom 300 aircraft visited during the middle of the week. Cirrus Vision Jets, a Pilatus PC-12 and other corporate aircraft contributed to the airport's business aviation traffic. PHI Health Airbus EC135 helicopters continued regional medical flights.

By the Numbers

Lynchburg Regional Airport recorded 1,108 general aviation flights during the seven-day period, including flight training and piston-engine aircraft not individually featured in this report.

Wednesday was the busiest day with 293 flights, while Saturday was the quietest with 37. The total was 78 flights, or approximately 6.6%, below the previous week's reported 1,186.

Sunday, October 18

Flight Notes: Sunday's business aviation activity included a NetJets Citation Latitude, a Citation Excel, a Citation CJ3, a Citation Bravo and a King Air 350.

A NetJets Citation Latitude arrived from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, shortly before noon and departed for Manassas during the early afternoon.
