American Idol runner-up Megan Danielle to headline free Bedford benefit concert Nov. 21

The four-hour concert at Bedford Farmers Market will feature three musical acts, food trucks and vendors, with proceeds supporting downtown revitalization.

American Idol Season 21 runner-up Megan Danielle will headline a free benefit concert Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Bedford Farmers Market, 220 W. Washington St.

The concert, scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m., will also feature performances by Seth & Nirva and Big Matt and the Time Machine. Food trucks, artisans and craft vendors will be on hand throughout the evening.

Bedford Groundwork is organizing the event in partnership with the Central Virginia Business Coalition to raise money for downtown Bedford revitalization efforts.

Net proceeds remaining after event expenses will support a building-supplies pool for downtown revitalization projects.

Although general admission is free, tickets are required for all attendees. Preferred-area tickets are available for $5. Concertgoers should bring their own lawn chairs, as seating will not be provided.

Businesses and individuals can also support the event through sponsorships and donations, with sponsors receiving recognition during the concert.

Bedford Groundwork plans to expand its community entertainment offerings in 2027, with additional events to be announced.
