Prices stabilize across much of Virginia, while Danville jumps 23 cents and Virginia Beach falls another seven cents
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Gasoline prices stabilized across much of the region this week following last week's widespread declines, although Lynchburg motorists saw some of those savings disappear.
According to a Monday evening snapshot from GasBuddy, the City of Lynchburg averaged $3.52 per gallon for regular gasoline, up 13 cents from $3.39 last week.
Elsewhere in the Lynchburg area, prices were either unchanged or slightly lower. Amherst remained at $3.89 per gallon, while Appomattox declined two cents to $3.75, Bedford slipped one cent to $3.56 and Rustburg fell two cents to $3.77.
Movement was mixed among the other Virginia markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda. Danville recorded the week's largest increase, jumping 23 cents to $3.48 after falling 29 cents a week earlier. Alexandria held steady at $3.79, Charlottesville remained at $3.39 and Richmond was unchanged at $3.35. Roanoke declined two cents to $3.35, while Virginia Beach posted the largest decrease of the week, falling seven cents to $3.42.
