Applications Due July 6 for Several City Council Appointments
The City of Lynchburg is seeking residents interested in serving on several City Council-appointed boards and commissions that help guide local policy, economic development, historic preservation, and community programs.
City Council is scheduled to consider appointments during a closed session on Tuesday, July 14, for the following bodies:
- Central Virginia Community College Board
- Historic Preservation Commission
- Martin Luther King Jr./Lynchburg Community Council
- Museum Advisory Board
- Economic Development Authority
- Building Code Appeals Board
Residents interested in serving are encouraged to submit an application by Monday, July 6.
Additional information about each board, eligibility requirements, and the application process is available on the City of Lynchburg's website. Those with questions may contact the Clerk of Council, Alicia L. Finney-Andrews, at (434) 455-3990 or by email at alicia.finney-andrews@lynchburgva.gov.
