Real Estate Transactions Across Greater Lynchburg
High-end home sales coupled with a multi-family development highlighted the latest real estate transactions in the Greater Lynchburg area.
In Bedford County, 1026 Wills Way in Forest sold for $689,000,

followed closely by a $550,000 transaction in Walnut Ridge and another in Poplar Forest at $475,000. Wills Way sellers were represented by Ted W. Jordan with Realty One Group Leading Edge in Someridge
Campbell County recorded the region’s most expensive overall sale: a multi-family development in The Allure subdivision changed hands for $3.9 million. Apart from that commercial deal, a home in the North Quadrant sold for $450,000, anchoring the top of the residential market in the county.
Within the City of Lynchburg, a Waterton home led the market with a $1.1 million transaction, the most expensive residential sale of the period.
141 Beacon Hill Pl followed at $775,000, and Wyndhurst Drive rounded out the city’s top three with a $433,500 sale. These homes represent the growing appeal of city neighborhoods with modern amenities and established charm. Sellers of Beacon Hill Pl were represented by Mitch Copenhaver of Long & Foster.

Amherst County also saw strong activity, with a home in Hans Hills Subdivision closing at $800,000, topping that market. Sunset Drive and Vannmeade properties followed, both just above the $320,000 mark. Hans Hill Dr. sellers were represented by Jill Rufus EXP Realty.

In Appomattox County, a 75-acre parcel on Oakville Road sold for $346,321, marking the highest transaction there, followed by homes in Pine View Estates and Tower Hill.
Building Permits
In Campbell County, a flurry of building permits supported continued investment in both residential and commercial properties. The most notable was a $14.5 million permit for a new Holiday Inn Express on Wards Road. Residential improvements included new decks, garages, additions, and a new dwelling valued at $350,000 on Mosby Court. Smaller remodeling efforts, such as kitchen and bathroom updates, reflect ongoing reinvestment in existing homes.
