Campbell County Records Three Transactions Greater than >$500K while City of Lynchburg Posts None >$500K for Second Straight Week
Real estate activity across the greater Lynchburg area reflected a mix of higher-end home sales, land transfers, and new construction investment. Recent transactions in the City of Lynchburg and surrounding counties — Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, and Campbell — show results for both residential neighborhoods and developing communities. While the city of Lynchburg often sees activity at the upper end of the market, the past two reports each week were notably different — no transactions exceeded $500,000. The region also saw significant building permit activity, showing growth through new home construction and renovations.
In the City of Lynchburg, the highest-priced sale was at 1103 Moreview Drive, where Gregory L. McCormick and Curtis W. McCormick Jr. sold the property to Robert and Karla Weissenfluh for $340,000. Another transaction occurred at Lot 40, section IV, Willow Bend, sold by Christopher Kregg Roberson to Lloyd G. and Amy J. Pemberton for $320,000. Rounding out the top sales was Lot 28, section 1, New Towne, purchased by Michael W. and Arden L. Patterson from Logan and Landyn MacGregor for $290,000. These sales reflect sales in established neighborhood developments and newer residential lots within the city.
