Prices rise in every market tracked by Lynchburg Agenda, with Amherst reaching $4.17 and Rustburg crossing the $4 mark
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Gasoline prices continued climbing across Greater Lynchburg and Virginia this week, with every regular-gas market tracked by Lynchburg Agenda recording an increase.
According to a Monday morning snapshot from GasBuddy, the City of Lynchburg averaged $3.85 per gallon for regular gasoline, up 10 cents from last week's $3.75.
Elsewhere in the Lynchburg area, Appomattox recorded the week's largest increase, jumping 20 cents to $3.99 per gallon. Bedford climbed 12 cents to $3.87, Rustburg increased 20 cents to $4.07, and Amherst rose eight cents to $4.17.
Prices also moved sharply higher among the other Virginia markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda. Charlottesville posted the week's largest increase, climbing 34 cents to $4.09 per gallon. Roanoke jumped 29 cents to $3.88, Richmond increased 25 cents to $3.89, and Virginia Beach rose 20 cents to $3.89.
Alexandria increased 10 cents to $3.99, while Danville also climbed 10 cents to $3.77.
Amherst remained the highest-priced Greater Lynchburg market at $4.17 per gallon, followed by Rustburg at $4.07. Appomattox stood just below the $4 mark at $3.99, while Lynchburg had the area's lowest average at $3.85.
Among all markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda, Amherst had the highest average at $4.17 per gallon, followed by Charlottesville at $4.09 and Rustburg at $4.07. Danville remained the lowest at $3.77.
