Loft Life 2026 to Open Doors to Downtown Lynchburg Living Spaces

Downtown Lynchburg residents will open the doors to more than 10 lofts and living spaces Sept. 12 as part of Downtown Lynchburg Association's Loft Life 2026.

The self-guided tour will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and give visitors an inside look at a variety of downtown residences, including restored historic buildings, contemporary renovations and other residential spaces.

The event is presented by Freedom First Credit Union.

“No two spaces featured on the tour are alike,” according to Downtown Lynchburg Association. The tour is designed for people considering downtown living as well as those interested in architecture, historic preservation and design.

“Loft Life is a unique opportunity to see Downtown Lynchburg from a different perspective,” said Stacy Garrett, executive director of the Downtown Lynchburg Association. “We invite residents, visitors, friends, families and coworkers to spend the day exploring these remarkable spaces and enjoying everything downtown has to offer.”

Check-in begins at 9 a.m. at the Downtown Lynchburg Association office, 901 Church Street. Ticket holders will receive an armband, tour information and a list of downtown businesses offering discounts to Loft Life participants.

Freedom First President and CEO Linda Johnson said the event also highlights the transformation of historic downtown buildings into modern residential spaces.

“Loft Life gives people the unique opportunity to experience how preservation, investment, and innovation can breathe new life into old buildings,” Johnson said.

Tickets are available through the Downtown Lynchburg Association and will also be available at check-in Sept. 12.
