James brings more than 25 years of nonprofit experience and previously served the organization as a volunteer and board member.
The Lynchburg Humane Society has named Sally H. James assistant director of development, a new position.
James brings more than 25 years of nonprofit experience, including leadership positions in development, marketing and admissions at New Vistas School and James River Day School. She has also worked and volunteered with several other Lynchburg-area nonprofit organizations.
In her new role, James will work with Michelle Thomas, director of development, on fundraising initiatives, events and donor relations.
“Sally brings a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge, and passion to Lynchburg Humane Society, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team,” Executive Director Jill Mollohan said.
James previously served the Lynchburg Humane Society as both a volunteer and a member of its board of directors.
She earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Hollins University.
