The Bedford County Board of Supervisors will conduct public hearings on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the third-floor meeting room of the Bedford County Administration Building (122 East Main Street, Bedford).
The purpose is to consider an amendment to Chapter 2, “Administration,” Article I, “In General,” by adding Section 2-4, “Performance Incentives and Bonuses.” This amendment would allow the County to participate in a state-administered program that awards performance-based bonuses to Social Services employees who exceed expectations in processing Medical Assistance Renewal applications.
There is no required local funding match, and the amendment will have no fiscal impact on Bedford County.
For more information, contact Patrick J. Skelley II, County Attorney, at (540) 587-5699.
A copy of the proposed ordinance is available at the Bedford County Administration Office, 122 East Main Street, Suite 202, Bedford.
