Lynchburg's average increased slightly this week, while Amherst and Rustburg edged lower and Bedford and Appomattox posted modest increases.
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Gasoline prices across Greater Lynchburg showed only modest movement this week, with the City of Lynchburg rising six cents while surrounding localities experienced small increases or held relatively steady.
According to a Monday evening snapshot from GasBuddy, the City of Lynchburg averaged $3.35 per gallon for regular gasoline, up six cents from last week's $3.29. Amherst and Rustburg each averaged $3.49 per gallon, while Bedford and Appomattox both came in at $3.52.
Across Virginia, prices remained mixed. Alexandria continued to post the highest average among the markets tracked by Lynchburg Agenda at $3.69 per gallon, up 17 cents from last week. Charlottesville also moved higher to $3.52, while Danville held at $3.29, Richmond averaged $3.29, Roanoke $3.34 and Virginia Beach remained the state's lowest-priced market surveyed at $3.16 per gallon.
Despite this week's increase, Lynchburg continues to rank among Virginia's lower-priced gasoline markets, with only Danville and Virginia Beach posting lower average prices among the locations tracked.
